starting out

I'm starting this blog for all those curious people who want to keep up with what I'm doing, and to i guess keep track of my own life. Things have been pretty exciting lately!

I just got back from an amazing mission trip with my middle schoolers. We went to Fayetteville, AR to a camp called Mount Sequoyah. Mount Sequoyah had a really bad ice storm last winter and is still recovering. we did a lot of mission work. So much that the people on the mountain almost ran out of stuff for us to do! we picked weeds. You know the kind of weeds that when you pull them 10 more grow in place of the one you pulled. We picked up what seems like a million sticks. Cleaned up a garden and remulched it. When I put it in writing it doesn't seem like much but trust me it was! We also had a lot of fun! We went swimming, we played games and really became a family. We went to Silver Dollar City for our fun day the day before we went home. I have never been to Silver Dollar City before! It was sooo much fun. My favorite part was when I went with 3 of my girls to a store called Bittersweet. It has artwork by a man named Jack E. Dawson. http://www.bittersweetgallery.com There's the link to his online gallery you should check it out. His paintings are full of symbols of faith. I think these paintings really inspirational.
